reading. writing. arithmetic
day three into spring semester (my first semester in eight years) and i already feel like i've bitten off to much.
full time worker. full time student. and full time lover.
yikes.
people do it all the time right?! besides this is nothing compared to lots of folks schedules.
so, i'm moving along with a happy face.i finally chose to fish instead of cut bait, and i love it. i love learning. i like being in the classroom with strange faces and those with different backgrounds. i'm embracing that nervous feeling of starting something new.
heyheyhey! how exciting! I am super proud of you. no foolin. all I can say is: one day at a time, baby steps, you can do it!
ReplyDeletecheck, check and check (to full time worker, student & lover) we can do it, kate! we can!
ReplyDeleteKate you're already doing it, the plunge is the hardest part!
ReplyDeletegood luck!! my biggest advice is just taking one day at a time. when i was in school i would think of every single thing i had to do for the upcoming month and i would have major meltdowns. not pretty. it is totally manageable if you just do one day at a time.
ReplyDeleteyou go girl!
you can do it! it's so easy to get stressed out in school, but it goes by faster than I thought it would too.
ReplyDeletegood luck! those days were crazy for me. i kept one of my planners from college and just came across it - cannot believe how many things i did every single day! it's a fun time too though so enjoy it... i'm sure you will be great.
ReplyDeleteHooray for K8!!! Hooray for learning! I am so proud of you! Just try not to get in the habit of skipping class for bagels and cokes like we did in high school. Those were damn good bagels though... I am suprised we didn't weigh a ton by graduation. He he..
ReplyDeleteYou can do it! The semester that I was taking 16 hours, working almost full time, and a few other things was the semester with my highest grades. Being almost too busy actually helps!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm jealous you're taking art history. It's so interesting!
I am right there with you, minus the lover part. hang in there! I feel ya and a good cry when you don't understand something that you feel like is SO SIMPLE always helps.
ReplyDeletethat's why i don't like school: i DON'T like being in the classroom with strange faces! ;)
ReplyDeletegoodlucktoya, pal.
this better not cut into your blogging (or twitter) time, btw.
school is always so scary and overwhelming the first week or two. you'll get in the rhythm and love it. i just know it!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! I've been doing the full time student and worker for awhile now. While it's not easy, it's worth it! Good for you for going back after such a long break, some always say they will, but don't. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Modern art? How fun!
ReplyDeleteyikes. modern art does sound pretty fun though!
ReplyDeleteyay! i think this will be a fun leetle adventure. i'm going to start school this fall. for the fifth time saying "start" school. i feel like i'll actually be able to study once joe and i are married.
ReplyDeletewe won'tbe so distracted.
and time will be ours.
love,
tif
You will get through it before you know it. Time goes by either way and when you are done and you look back you will be amazed how fast you got through your schooling.
