you had me at the violin.

we ventured into downtown last night around  9:00 (on a school  work night nonetheless!) to see devotchka.
holy smokes. they were non-stop violins. guitars. accordion. flute. tuba. drums
(if only the high school marching band/orchestra sounded that awesome.)

we were standing right at the stage (dorky or awesome?), and i was in heaven because i wasn't stuck behind the typical:
a. drunk girl with jerky moves that manages to spill her beer on everyone but herself.
b. sweaty guy making dance moves that i never want to see again
or
c. behind someone tall (ahem. like a guy like graham, that's 6'6.)

i loved them.

*the only bummer part of the eve was missing the opening act, priscillia ahn. sad. i was really look forward to seeing her as well. i was to busy eating chicken mcnuggets (sick) from the only drive through in downtown in our rush to get there.

happy weekend all.
i've got a girls night out (GNO baby!) tonight,
and a movie night with my man tomorrow.

huzzah.

  4. @ kelly. dude I have one friend here, so don't feel bad. As for movies we're thinking " Beastly" haaa. Kidding. Nah, maybe the new matt damon/emily blunt film or Rango. Why does Hollywood suck so bad lately? We used to go to the movies almost every weekend. Maybe we're just super cheap now too.

  9. I was winding up and down the streets of SG the other day wasting time waiting for my class to start and I happened upon your oldhouse. I wish you still lived there and your car was parked in the drive. I would have gone and grabbed a "Swig" for you and I and sat on your front porch with you in the gorgeous weather. I miss ya.

Did I want to kill myself? Yes.
