she showed me the great ways of eating indian food at bombay house, and lovely shops of vintage treasures. we walked down memory lane well into the middle of night with photos and notes we passed each other in middle school and high school. i love you lucy!
next, i met up with ladies:
abby, kera, carla, angela, and shalynna, and me of course. we enjoyed settebello, cafe rio,a woody allen flick (midnight in paris) and shopping. it was mind blowing to meet these women i've conversed with for so many years via the internet. and yes, they are even more beautiful in real life.
annnnnnnd then....
("no and then.")
i met up with these loves of my life
charlotte, teresa, kim, mary, and my momma. (we missed you necia!)
these lady drove hours, just to come and see me. it was so great to catch up with them while relaxing at the pool, more shopping, and eating.
i feel so blessed to have so many beautiful, funny, and generous women in life.
i'm a lucky girl.
I AM SO JEALOUS.
ReplyDeletewas it weird in real life or normal? i've always wondered what it's like! i would be so shy!
Great Pictures. I how ever think you tried to find one with the most wrinkles. Becuase I really do not have that many.(do I really?) ha ha any way It was a great week-end. I am glad you were able to come and have fun. now get some rest you must be exhausted.
ReplyDeletewell, now i know what i might look like when i'm pregnant someday... haha!
ReplyDeleteit was such a lovely time with all of you. hoping to blog about it soon!
i really don't have a connection to utah other than having gone to school there. but sometimes i just miss it so much. it usually coincides with the weather being humid.
ReplyDeletealso, i enjoy saying "SET-a BELL-o!" in a loud voice with hand motions. at least that's how i said it in my mind when i read it in this post.
there's really nothing else to say but "YAY!" (except not yay for that picture of me but i blame it on the 4 hours of sleep the night before. can we blame it on that?)
ReplyDeleteAw, you are a lucky lady!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Im in Utah right now too! We must have just missed each other! I forgot how beautiful it is out here. Yay summer! Exclamation point! Exclamation point!
ReplyDelete@kello- i'm suuuuper awkward/shy when it comes to social stuff lately. this however was neither. it was like hanging out with old friends.
ReplyDelete@angela- oh please! if you look pregnant, then i look like a beached whale. :)
@abby- oh please again! you look fabulous, as does the rest of you. four hours additional sleep probably would've helped all of us though.
@rubi- bummer i missed you! i guess i'll just have to come to paris. shoot.
oh how fun! what beautiful women! i'm sad i didn't get to come give you a hug!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh HOW FUN! i think utah is seriously my favorite vacation spot! must be all the memories and of course restaurants like settebellos [which is our #1 favorite!] :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a fun trip!
ReplyDeleteI have never actually met "blogging friends" in real life. I would probably be way awkward and everyone would think I was less cool.
so jealous of your amazing time in utah.
ReplyDeleteHow was Midnight In Paris?
I'm going to see it on Friday.
Probably going to copy you and get cafe rio with it.
ha ha
so glad you had a great time.
xo
oh kate, love this. mostly because everytime i think about last weekend, i get happy that it happened! and i srsly am craving the pizza.
ReplyDeleteI'm especially emotional these days, but your reply in the above comment about the weekend feeling like it was hanging out with old friends makes me want to cry. I'll admit- I almost started crying at one point during one of the late night conversations. You can guess which conversation. :)
ReplyDeleteWe need to email photos to each other (as in you guys need to email photos to me since I didn't take any).
And it looks like you got to see a ton of people during your stay! I'm so glad.
wah! i was supposed to be there!
ReplyDeletehow lovely! salt lake is a wonderful, wonderful place and I've been DYING to go to their vintage stores- they're fantastic. Did you go to Decades vintage or some other vintage store? Whatever it was, I am sure you had a great time accompanied by so many awesome people.
