my roots have grown, but i don't know where they are.

so, i know as of late this blog appears to have turned into the home and garden section of cheesy magazine, but i can't help share the beauty.

last night, our friends sam and blair, took us to crystal springs rhododendron park, right smack in the middle of the city. i'm constantly amazed at the green and beauty found right in our neighborhood. it was a perfect cool summer evening, and the sun is setting later and later each night.

as much as i loved visiting my homestate, i've really fallen in love my new one. graham and i both agreed after going in for the evening, that we like this place very much.

sorry mom, i think we might be here for awhile.

  1. yay for coming home and loving it! i love that feeling. it doesn't really happen in the basement but i think there's a reason for that. can't wait to visit the pdx.

  2. What a beautiful area! It looks so peaceful.

Poor moms. It must be so hard to see your children grow up and move away. At least Oregon and Utah aren't too far!

  4. Doth mine eyes deceive me, "cool summer evening"? Thats an oxymoron if I've seen/read one!

    I can't even fathom that. It's already over 90° @ 12:30. Bleh.

  5. no, kara it's true! we live in a land of jacket weather. i'm not going to lie, i love it.

after a year of constant summer in phoenix, i'm all about living in a place that requires fall/winter clothing longer than normal standard.

a good hot day in the sun is always good too though!

  11. Don't you just love when you find the most amazing place deep smack in the middle of the city or hidden somewhere a little off. I do - it's super awesome.
