hot nights, summer in the city.

summer showed up way late this year here in portland. it's 95 degrees  this weekend, and it's not fitting for this city of few air conditioners, pools, or sno-cone free establishments. the once green ground has turned to spotty and brown too. i know i'll regret saying this soon, but i'm missing the rain (shocker i know!) i'm dying for some relief.

while we wait, we're making the best of the situation by walking aimlessly for hours at target, ikea, and hitting up the movies. i think we've had at least five ice creams cones this week, and a million diet cokes.

hope you're having a cool weekend where ever you might be!

*photo from voodo donuts. the heat makes us do crazy things and eat crappy. not cool heat. not cool.

  2. I would love it if summer showed up late here in Scotland. It's completely passed us by this year!

And love your photobooth photos! I have no idea where our nearest old school photobooth is, otherwise I would be there every other day!!

  3. I love photo booth photos! They are super duper cute. Also, I totally am jealous of the fact that on hot summer days you can roll up to VooDoo Donuts! I love that place!

  6. 95? I didn't think it was allowed to get that hot in the Pacific NW. It's always fun to wander around Target and Ikea. It's my new hobby.

  11. Your photos are so cute!

I am also ready for cooler weather and rain does seem like a better option than 95 degree heat. We should be wearing layers in September. I want my layers!

i think it's so funny...the seasons. I'm always found over here in the far east in new york, complaining about the cooooold. boo for cold.

  15. is voodoo worth it? and by that i mean, is the line for voodoo worth it? we tried going there the morning after we saw you but...yikes! jamie was very sad. he is a donut fanatic.

  16. @abby.

voodoo is a little weird and a lot of pervy. it's one of those "portland" things to do, but i'm honestly not a huge fan of the donuts.
